“Rock and come een, Rock and come een, Nice up di scene”…The latest release, Nice Up Di Scene, from rising reggae artist, Mortimer, is making waves across Jamaica and the UK. The track was produced and released by Phillip “Winta” James of Overstand Entertainment, who also produced Ancient Future, the most recent album by reggae musician, Protoje.

Mortimer, who hails from Kingston, Jamaica, has been making a name for himself over the past four years through collaborations and single releases including Protection – a collaborative track with Protoje featured on Ancient Future – and Warning, respectively. These tracks along with Mortimer’s debut EP, Message Music, are making the artist a mainstay in reggae music.

Mortimer, who only began recording music in recent years, explains: “I continue to do music because it is my first love. [The music] is about a message…a message of love, hope, kindness, [and] selflessness.”
